Learning is a constant process…
Yesterday a relative of mine asked me why I am still studying at the age of 32. I replied to him that, I am more interested in learning or study, than anything else. Once I complete one course, I start doing another, not because I did not find employment with my present qualifications, I have an urge to learn something. I do not know why!
To me, learning is a constant process. We start learning things when we are kids and continue to do so until we leave this world. Learning is not restricted to academic study. We learn about all the activities we are interested in. For instance, if we buy a new gadget say new laptop or music player, we start exploring its features, functions and so on. This is also a type of learning.
Mankind started learning since the start of civilization. Man first learned how to start fire and cooking, then learned to build shelters to live, learned to make various objects like pottery and weapons to protect himself from wild beasts etc.. Archeological remains of Nalanda University in India proved the fact of existence of an educational system. Diffusion of knowledge was considered as a privilege in those days. Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle and others spread the education.
Today, proper educational qualification is more required, than before. That is why various Governmental and Non Governmental agencies actively engaged in promoting education. Some countries even provide free education to their citizens.
Learning improves our understanding about things or events happening around us. Education facilitates clear thinking, so that we can discriminate between good and bad. Knowledge and Wisdom comes by learning, not otherwise.
So, I have decided to learn, whatever may be the subject I was interested. It may be Java programming, content writing or even cooking. There was no age restriction to study and learn, nor there is a limit where one should stop.
Learn do not stop, and help those, who struggle to go to school.
