Marriage and Divorce.

Published by koyyalagunta under Uncategorized Edit This

Marriage is the foundation to the family life. Both Husband and Wife are like pillars. That is why marriage was often called as an institution. Marriage gives meaning to individual’s life. Almost in all communities, marriages are usually celebrated with lot of splendor and festive spirit.

Everyone eager to get marry, when they attain mature age. While some chose the way of love and marry, some prefers the elders search and select suitable life partner for them.

Few days ago a news article drew my attention to the divorce. Marriage generally in our society considered as sacred and both the parties required to make promises to live together until their death. But alarming level of divorce applications pending at family courts, the paper says, is really sad matter.

Divorce, not only separate the couple, but also impact their children, if any, and other family members. Divorce cause great mental agony and depression to all. It will take long time to heal the memories of past and start life again.

In our community there will be a head, who try to salvage the marriage and settle the family disputes. If there is no such person, it is better to talk to elders in the family to have a look into the matter. After all no one deny the opportunity to settle the causes for problem.

My mom and dad are living together for over 35 years. Yes, there were times, they quarrel each other, but those are trivial matters which can be sorted out if anyone sits calmly and think about. They like each other greatly and never try to ruin the relation. Same is the case of lot other married and happily living couple. They may be married for days, months, or years. But they sort out all petty differences.

Everyone of us need to think about that. Marriages are said to be made in heaven. Then, why should any marriage split on Earth?
