Food for thought?
Yes! Our thoughts largely depend on our food habits. Vegetarian food is Satvic [calm] in nature and so vegetarian’s thoughts would be calm. Thoughts of meat eaters are like destructive nature, because meat is often characterized as Tamasic or destructive. So, regular meat eating promotes unholy thought patterns, which are uncontrollable and over powers the human being.
See the calm and composed deer, antelopes and elephants. They rarely go berserk. See the Tigers and Lions etc; their nature is ferocious and cruel.
Food habits largely depend on customs and traditions. But today there were lesser and lesser vegetarians than before, in any part of the world. This may be due to cheap availability of meat and growth in meat processing and export.
I want clear and peaceful thoughts. Besides that Mother Nature provides all vitamins and proteins in vegetables in optimum and required quantity. So, I am going vegetarian way.
Experiment with vegetables. They are good for good thoughts.
